About

Established in 1946, Proctor Maple Research Center (PMRC) is the oldest maple research station in the world. Located in Underhill, VT, the research center is run by University of Vermont Plant and Biology Department. Proctor provides cutting edge research and best practices for Vermont maple syrup producers and the byproduct of this research - maple syrup! They produce organic and certified bird-friendly syrup, which is sold across the state.

Our Commitment

Our partnership with PMRC started in 2015 when University of Vermont Dining committed to exclusively using their syrup around campus.

In 2025, we worked with PMRC to expand our partnership to bring Vermont maple syrup into additional Vermont University accounts at Norwich University, Champlain College, Saint Michael's College, and three of the Vermont State University locations. Vermont State University at Randolph produces their own maple syrup that they use in the dining hall.
